With Perth lockdown happening so fast here is everything you need to know about Perth’s 3-day lockdown.

Perth has gone into a snap lockdown for the next three days. It’s all a bit sudden, so here’s a rundown of what’s going on.

Why the lockdown?

A man who caught COVID-19 from a quarantining in a hotel was walking around Perth following his isolation, while possibly infectious.

He returned to Victoria, his home State, on Wednesday April 21. On Friday he returned a positive test.

But before he flew back to Melbourne, he went all around Perth, visiting restaurants, swimming pools, Kings Park and other places.

When does it start and end?

The lockdown is happening just a few hours on from the announcement, so midnight tonight (Friday).

Masks are mandatory from 6pm though, so don’t get caught without one.

The lockdown will go for three days before it is reviewed. That means all ANZAC services have been cancelled.

Where is the lockdown happening?

Perth and the Peel region, which includes Mandurah and Waroona.

Where did the man go? Where are the exposure sites?

The WA Department of Health has released public exposure sites if you have been to one of these locations you must get tested if you were there at the same time.
