Perth Weather Forecast for severe weather ahead, plus snow to fall in Western Australia

Perth is experiencing severe weather, with warnings in place today and also on Friday.

There is also a severe wind warning in place. 

At the weekend, snow is expected to fall over much of the Stirling Ranges, bringing a winter wonderland to parts of Western Australia.

“Snow For BluffKnoll and the Stirling Ranges Is Forecast Between 2:00am And 2:00pm On Saturday,” Weather WA tweeted.

Weather forecast images for the region showed snow falls due on the peaks near Albany for the weekend. On Saturday the temperature on Bluff Knoll will fall to -8C.

Wednesday Night

The chance of a thunderstorm early this evening. Winds southerly 15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the late evening. 80% chance of rain.

Thursday

Mostly sunny, top of 18C.

Friday

Cloudy, top of 19C. Very high (95%) chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening. Winds northerly 25 to 35 km/h tending northwesterly 30 to 40 km/h in the middle of the day then tending northwest to southwesterly 30 to 45 km/h in the early afternoon.
