Global football giant AC Milan will touch down in Perth this July for an exclusive Australian match against Perth Glory, giving WA fans a rare chance to witness one of the most decorated clubs in world football — live and up close.
Set to take place on Thursday, July 31st at HBF Park, the friendly fixture will be AC Milan’s only Australian appearance on their 2025 pre-season tour, following earlier stops in Hong Kong and Singapore. For many fans, this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to see the Rossoneri in action without boarding a long-haul flight.
The match is expected to draw thousands of AC Milan fans from across Australia and Asia, following the club’s successful clash with AS Roma at Optus Stadium last year, which injected nearly $9 million into the WA economy and confirmed Perth’s growing reputation as a host for major sporting spectacles.
Tourism Minister Reece Whitby said the swift return of AC Milan just a year after their first WA appearance in three decades was a sign of things to come.

“WA is being recognised globally as a premier events destination,” he said. “Drawcard names like AC Milan bring crowds of fans to our State from across Australia and overseas, which boosts our tourism and hospitality businesses and injects millions in visitor spend into our economy, while supporting local jobs and creating vibrancy across Perth.”
The event is part of a blockbuster winter of sport in Western Australia, which includes NRL State of Origin Game II, the Socceroos World Cup Qualifier, Matildas friendlies, British & Irish Lions vs Western Force, and multiple AFL matches in Perth and Bunbury.
Sport and Recreation Minister Rita Saffioti said the match was a nod to the growing appetite for international football in WA.
“HBF Park is a spectacular rectangular stadium for international football, having hosted the likes of Women’s World Cup matches, the Socceroos and Matildas for World Cup and Olympic qualifiers plus the Women’s Super League last year,” she said. “it’s very exciting to again be hosting an Italian powerhouse like AC Milan.”
