Get ready, Perth – Ed Sheeran is making his way back to Australia, and he’s bringing a brand-new concert with him. The global superstar has announced his all-new Loop Tour, set to hit stadiums across the country in early 2026, with Optus Stadium the first Australian stop.
Last time Ed Sheeran played in Australia was for the sold-out Mathematics Tour in 2023, where he broke records, playing to crowds of more than 100,000 at the MCG.
The Loop Tour will bring a completely new live experience, launching shortly after the release of his next album, Play, due out Friday, September 12. Sheeran himself says to expect a “new stage, new tricks, new set, new songs, old songs,” as he continues to reinvent the stadium concert experience for fans around the world.
Sheeran has always used his tours to support local talent, and this time will be no different. Missy Higgins, Fergus James, Bliss n Eso, Budjerah, and Conrad Sewell have previously opened for Sheeran on tour. There’ll be an announcement soon about which Australian acts will be supporting on this tour.
