Perth’s live music scene is set for a major boost, with Live Nation announcing plans for a brand new venue — the Northbridge Music Hall — slated to open in summer 2026/27.
The purpose-built venue, to be located at 77 Francis Street, will hold up to 3,000 people across two state-of-the-art performance spaces — a main room and a smaller club room. With an expected 120 shows in its first year, the Northbridge Music Hall aims to fill a much-needed gap in the city’s mid-size live venue offering, bringing a greater range of acts to local audiences.
Designed with versatility in mind, the venue will cater to live music, comedy, and theatre, making it a dynamic new addition to Perth’s cultural landscape. The striking facade and elevated streetscape are also set to become a new landmark within Northbridge’s entertainment district.
In a joint statement, Alex Klos, President, and Paul Piticco, Director of Touring and Venue Development at Live Nation Australasia, said: “Northbridge Music Hall is set to become a cornerstone of Perth’s cultural landscape and a dynamic space for live entertainment. Designed to welcome both rising talent and world-class performers, it’s an investment in the city’s creative future and we’re excited to collaborate with the local arts community to create new opportunities for both performers and fans.”
Beyond the cultural value, the project is expected to generate positive economic outcomes, creating at least 70 direct employment opportunities and flow-on benefits for Perth’s hospitality and entertainment sectors.
For touring artists and promoters, Northbridge Music Hall will also strengthen Perth’s positioning on national touring circuits — joining Live Nation’s portfolio of leading venues such as Festival Hall in Melbourne, Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane, and Spark Arena in Auckland.
With its opening scheduled for late 2026, the new venue marks a significant investment in the future of live entertainment in Western Australia — and offers plenty for local music fans to look forward to.
