Bureau of Meteorology forecast WA to be hit by a monster storm over the coming days.

Bureau of Meteorology has reported that Perth and WA from Coral Bay to Walpole should brace for significant wet and wild weather from Sunday morning.

We're still expecting a cold front and rain band to bring rainfall to a large part of WA during Sunday and Monday, with the heaviest falls likely along the west coast south of Carnarvon. Over the next 4 days, a cold front will pass over the west coast of WA from Sunday morning, with heavy rainfall to hit throughout Sunday and Monday.

How much rainfall can we expect?

August on average since 1994 receives 124mm of rain and with an estimated 100mm to hit over the next 4 days, Perth could see almost all of August rainfall (if not more) within a few days.

Over Sunday and Monday alone we could have as much rainfall in those 2 days as we did for all of July, where Perth recorded 83mm for the whole month.

BOM WA is reporting that widespread showers of up to 50mm are expected to fall tomorrow across WA, from the top at Coral Bay to Walpole.

Some areas can also expect isolated falls up to 75mm.
