The Perth Wildcats, one of Australia’s most storied sporting franchises, has revealed a bold new logo and refreshed brand identity — the first major update in two decades.
The rebrand marks a significant milestone as the club prepares for the upcoming NBL26 season, modernising its visual identity while honouring its 40-year legacy of success, including ten championships and a record-breaking 35 consecutive Finals appearances.
A fan-led evolution
The Wildcats’ new look isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s the product of months of consultation, with over 900 fans contributing feedback through an early survey. The message from the Red Army was clear: evolve the brand, but don’t lose what makes it iconic.
Supporters wanted a logo that felt powerful and modern — something fierce and dynamic that could hold its own in today’s fast-paced, digital-first sporting world. But just as importantly, they wanted the club’s identity to remain unmistakably red, retaining the fiery spirit that defines game days at RAC Arena, better known as The Jungle.
However, as with all change, not all fans love the design, with many commenting their opinions on the Perth Wildcats’ Instagram.

A look for the future
Perth Wildcats owner Mark Arena said the time was right to reimagine the club’s identity.
“The Perth Wildcats are entering a bold new era. The team, the club, the culture — everything is evolving,” Arena said. “Our identity was more than 20 years old. The technology, the way we watch and engage with the game, the expectations of the Red Army — it’s all changed. And so has the way a brand needs to show up in the world.”
“This rebrand isn’t just a fresh look — it’s a strategic reset to fuel growth, re-energise our fanbase, and set the tone for a new era of dominance on and off the court.”
The rebrand reflects the broader shift in how sporting clubs are engaging with fans through immersive digital content, high-end production, and global-scale storytelling. The new logo, while sharper and more streamlined, retains visual links to the club’s heritage, ensuring continuity for long-time supporters.
New merchandise
New team merchandise will be available from Wednesday, June 11th via the Wildcats’ official site and stores. Uniforms featuring the updated logo are set to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
