Optus Stadium will once again be filled with a sea of maroon and blue as Perth plays host to one of Australia’s biggest sporting events — State of Origin.
The National Rugby League (NRL) has released the full 2025 Ampol State of Origin schedule, which will see the men’s series return to Perth for the first time since 2022.
Optus Stadium will host State of Origin Game II between the New South Wales ‘Blues’ and Queensland ‘Maroons’ on Wednesday, 18 June 2025 — a game that will be a decider in the series.
The 2025 event will also be the third time it’s been hosted at Optus Stadium with the marquee sporting event having been to Perth in 2019 and 2022.
Surprisingly, Perth has been a successful hunting ground for the NSW Blues — having won on both occasions with an aggregate score of 82-18.
State of Origin Ticket Sales
Tickets to State of Origin Perth go on sale from Friday 22 November at 11:00 am (AWST) via Ticketmaster.
Perth will also host a State of Origin match again in 2028.
