It was a sad day in 2013 when Lion shifted brewing to West End Brewery in Adelaide after our delicious and thirst-crushing Swan Draught lager had been brewed in WA since 1857.
Now after close to 10 years of production outside of WA, Swan Draught will be coming back home and brewed again in WA.
It has been reported that the parent company Lion is looking to make the move back west to overcome supply chain issues by shifting brewing back to WA from NSW.
So that’s the good news.
The even better news.
Swan Draught brewing in WA will be in good hands as local brew kings Little Creatures will be in charge of the process.
Lion WA sales director Jamie Ryan says there will be a strict emulation process employed to ensure consistency.
So, there you go, finally some good news amongst everything else that is happening.
