The West Coast Fever secured a place in the Suncorp Super Netball Preliminary Final with an edge-of-your-seat win against the Melbourne Vixens at RAC Arena this afternoon. The game ended with a final score of 64-57 setting the stage for an exciting showdown against the NSW Swifts.
The stakes were high for both teams, with the score difference just two points in favour of the Fever heading into the game’s final four minutes. With their season on the line and the crowd behind them, the home side delivered a clutch performance on all areas of the court.
The victory was made even more special by the milestone reached by Fever Vice Captain Jess Anstiss. Anstiss celebrated her 100th game in green, marking a significant achievement in her career.
The West Coast Fever’s journey does not end here. They will now focus on the next challenge as they prepare to face the NSW Swifts in the Preliminary Final. The match will take place at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney on Saturday night. So far this season, they’ve played each other twice, winning one game each.
The winner of this intense battle will earn a spot in the Grand Final, where they will compete against the Adelaide Thunderbirds for the ultimate prize.
