Perth’s new takeaway and delivery options from your favourite venues.

With so much uncertainty surrounding us right now, life seems to be changing by the day, hour and minute. No more evident than the announcement last night from Prime Minister Scott Morrison for a nation-wide shutdown of pubs, clubs and restaurants with the only takeaway to be provided.

There’s lots to consider, and lots that weighs on our minds from a health & safety level, an economic level and particularly an emotional & empathetic level too.

There’s a lot of pressure to stay indoors to alleviate risk to ourselves and to others – and with good reason. Health experts are experts for a reason, and we know that advice we’re given has our best interest as a collective.

But on a personal level, it’s hard to see businesses and people suffer: particularly the hospitality one which relies so heavily on us venturing out. It’s scary, and it’s a time for kindness and support, however, we can lend it.

It’s understandable those of us who don’t want to go out and eat right now. But if you want to support the food vendors, restaurants and cafes you love, some are changing their offering to focus on takeaway and delivery – not just to ensure we don’t go stir crazy eating packet pasta on rotation at home, but also to make sure those businesses will be there on the other side of this. That their staff will continue to have a place of employment, those venues won’t have to shut their doors completely, and livelihood and passions can continue.

We’ve put together a list of businesses (and there are more changes to this model daily) that you can keep showing the love you always have to but in a different way.
