Welcome to Planet Royale – The Final Funtier.
Planet Royale is set to take the Perth entertainment scene to unprecedented, intergalactic heights this August with its multi-purpose venue featuring an American style diner, arcade bar, cocktail bar and of course the theatre.
Located in the old IMAX Northbridge cinema, Planet Royale pays tribute to some of the greatest classics.
“We have drawn heavy inspiration from pop culture, movies, and music throughout the
venue,” Sasha Fagan explains.
“When we first walk through the space it was like stepping into a time capsule.”
“The old theatre space combined with the lobby and waiting areas of the old IMAX really got our nostalgic juices flowing and we both literally and figuratively filled our cups with it. From the Tardis of Dr Who fame, a spectacular assortment of pinballs, a diner-inspired by Pulp Fiction infamy, all the way to our murals of music and film legends of the past, we have managed to engage all the spaces in a unique, engaging and fun way.”
What to expect at Planet Royale
Pulp Kitchen
A post-American diner that would have had Vincent Vega drooling.
Steering the culinary journey of Pulp Kitchen is Head Chef Patrik Lechner & Sous Chef Marcelo Kretzer. With staple dishes – including the likes of a chicken wing burger, loaded potato gems, pulled pork waffle, New York cheesecake, and of course, the Royale with Cheese – this post-Americana menu is set to impress.
Barcadia
An arcade bar boasting a truly extraordinary collection of pinballs (arguably the best pinball line-up in Australia) and arcades dating back to the 70s.
Major Tom’s
A cocktail bar paying tribute to departed rock ‘n’ roll legends and their humble garage beginnings to super-stardom.
Leading the charge behind the drinks is Chris Tilley. No stranger to the Perth beverage scene, he has tailored a menu for each venue that caters to all sippers.
From boozy shakes, 20+ beers and selected cocktails on tap, a bespoke cocktail menu consisting of premium spirits, house-made syrups, and infusions, backed with some excellent independent winemakers.

The Royale Theatre
Like nothing else in Perth, The Royale Theatre will be home to all kinds of entertainment. With shows from cabaret and burlesque shows to music gigs, circus shows, movie screenings, drag stars and much more.
The Royale Theatre is also the home base for WAESL (West Australia eSports League). Hosting eSports competitions for gamers of Perth through regular online and live events.
