Casey Prather was a fan favourite on Friday night with a dominating performance and a career-high 29 points!

Perth Arena was pumped on Friday night, as the Perth Wildcats took on the New Zealand Breakers in a re-match of last year’s grand final. The Red Army had every reason to celebrate with Cats legend Shawn Radhage playing his 350th game with the Wildcats, jumping over Andrew Vlahov’s record of 349 games.

Casey Prather cranked it up a notch in the second quarter putting incredible pressure on New Zealand and scored 14 points for the quarter. He finished the match with a massive 29 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals.

screen-shot-2016-10-15-at-11-44-16-amJarrod Kenny stood tall against his old side and had a big influence on the game, with some amazing offensive rebounds and big defensive plays. Jesse Wagstaff was a solid contributor and finished with 16 points and two steals to keep the Cats in the contest early on in the game.

The momentum swung back and forth throughout the game, which kept the Wildcats fans on the edge of their seats. Cats had a big second quarter and were in front by 11 at the half time break. The Breakers came out with all guns blazing in the third and took control of the game, scoring 12 unanswered points.

The rivals battled it out right down to the wire, with the Wildcats holding on to record a hard-fought 75-73 victory.
