Happy Quokka Birthday!
Just when you thought a Quokka couldn’t get any cuter, the next generation of joeys have emerged from their mother’s pouches at Rottnest Island taking the adorable-factor next level!!
In celebration of this very special annual occurrence, there’s a fun-filled program of free events, activities and special offers to enjoy, in celebration of the world’s happiest animal.
Quokka Birthday Party
The highlight of the festivities is the Quokka Birthday Party on Sunday, September 19 featuring quokka-themed party games, music, walking tours, workshops and a very special rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’. Overnight guests on the island (Saturday, September 18) can also enjoy an evening bonfire and twilight Quokka tours.
Rottnest Island’s photogenic ambassador skyrocketed to international fame after high-profile celebrities including Roger Federer, Margot Robbie and Chris Hemsworth posted selfies with the adorable marsupials on social media.
