The Quokka Selfie has now reached over 7 million likes on Instagram.
From Roger Federer to Hugh Jackman to Margot Robbie and now Shawn Mendes – it’s a right of passage now for all celebrities coming to WA that they must hop on a ferry and grab a selfie with the now world-famous quokkas.

Canadian musician and global superstar Shawn Mendes is currently in Perth, ahead of his RAC Arena show and while spending some downtime in our fine city he has made the trip over to Rottnest to be part of the #QuokkaSelfie action.
And the end result speaks for itself.

Now with over 7 million likes on the gram, it’s fair to say that the Quokka has helped raise Shawn’s social profile with the 7 million likes creating the second most of any recent posts. Only a photo with his new love Camila Cabello creating 8 million likes has been able to beat our quokka.
