Scabs beach markets is back – alright!
It’s time to throw on your best winter woollies – Perth’s favourite winter markets are returning to Scarborough next Saturday (25 July 2020).
The Scarborough Beach Association (SBA) is once again teaming up with KINN & Co to bring back The Scarborough Sunset Markets Winter Edition.
Here’s what you need to know:

Touted as the little sister of The Scarborough Sunset Markets Summer edition, the Winter series is the perfect remedy for the winter blues. Get out in the crisp, clean ocean air, walk the famous beachside promenade and gather the troops for your new Saturday evening tradition.
A curated selection of retail stalls will ensure you get your winter shopping fix each week, with crafted goods ranging from vintage clothing, handmade candles, independent street wear, dog treats, photography and art, jewellery, eco homewares and more!
Is there food?
So. Much. Food.
We’re all sick of home cooking (right?), so why not let Perth’s best food trucks and dessert connoisseurs treat you to their soul-warming dinners and oh-so-sweet desserts.
Scarborough Beach Market will showcase global cuisines, with everything from BBQ meats, toasted curries, Italian street food, Asian dumplings, authentic Lebanese, Brazilian bites, hot potatoes, handmade gnocchi, Latino vegan delights, real Moroccan, heart-warming soups, western Indo rendang and to French crepes and pastries, Greek donuts, macarons, deep fried delights, hot bevies, crème brulee and everything in between.
Drool.
But it’s COLD!
Not a problem. There’s custom-made fire pits ablaze, with marshmallows ready to roast all night long.
In a cute twist the local Scarborough Beach Scout Group will be igniting the fires each week and helping keep them burning throughout the winter months.
As is a Scouts tradition, ashes from one market fire will be kept and used to light the following week’s fire, thus ensuring they continue to burn week after week.

DJ FLEX will be bringing the beats – ensuring the perfect soundtrack to your wintery Saturday eve. FLEX is known as our summer party starter, but don’t be fooled – his winter beats are just as HOT!
Is it safe?
In keeping with social distancing guidelines, the global foodies will wrap around the Scarborough Clocktower and wind their way through the arbours, while hand-selected artisan market stalls will flank the Winter food market, offering hard-to-find gifts and wares for your post-dinner shopping spree.
Then What?
Looking for a winter tipple? Make sure you mosey on into one of the many beachfront bars to get your fix, or really settle in for the night.
