Our favourite farmer’s markets in Perth to head to this weekend.
It’s a lazy Saturday or Sunday, the sun’s shining, and you’re keen to get out and about for a few hours- but where do you go?
Lucky for us, Perth has some excellent farmer’s markets around town that are the perfect chilled weekend vibe you’ve been looking for (plus there’s food). It’s sustainable, fun and you’ll be giving back to local businesses- tick, tick, tick!
Soak up the fresh produce, community atmosphere, delicious eats and handmade local products at some of the best farmer’s markets in Perth.
Kyilla Community Farmers Market
Kyilla Park, Clieveden St &, Union St, North Perth WA 6006
Saturday 8am-11:30am
Kicking off the list with Kyilla Community Farmers Market. It’s got a range of food, beverage and retail stores to slowly make your way through as you enjoy the chilled vibes and family-friendly atmosphere.
You’ll have no shortage of fresh produce to choose from, plus you can grab a bite for breakfast and a freshly brewed coffee as you wander from one of their food trucks. They also put on some interactive activities for the kids to keep them entertained while you sit back and relax.
Perth Home Grown Markets
242 Murray Street Mall, Perth WA 6000
Sunday 11am-4pm
Located in the heart of the city, Perth Home Grown is a sustainable living market stocked with specialty baked goods, handmade gifts, homewares and fresh fruit and vegetables.
There’s plenty of food options as well if you need a little Sunday morning pick me up with G-Free Donuts, Japanese pastries and Sugar Bee serving up tasty vegemite scrolls.
Kingsway Markets

Saturday 8am-12pm
This weekly community market always has a rotating range of produce, bread, meat, eggs and gourmet products while serving you up coffee, breakfast and live music for entertainment.
Kingsway Markets is a great way to give back to your community and get in amongst it all with some fabulous stalls and kids activities to entertain the little ones.
Subiaco Farmers Market

If there’s one thing we love in Subi, it’s their farmer’s markets.
Subiaco Farmers Market is a lively, fresh food lover’s dream with an amazing atmosphere and a mix of food stalls and handcrafted wares. Treat yourself to a Mr. Drummonds crumpet or mouthwatering Shak Shuka for breakfast as you cruise through the array of weekly produce.
Perth City Farm Farmers Market

Perth City Farm is the place to be if you want to shop organic and biodynamic (an enhanced method of organic farming).
Their weekly farmer’s market takes place in the lush and vibrant courtyard of their organic community farm and is the perfect spot for growers and consumers passionate about ethical and sustainable produce (as we all should be).
Their focus is supporting small, local WA growers and producers and encouraging a healthy, sustainable lifestyle, earning big ticks all around from us.
Freo Farmers Market
79 Lefroy Rd, Beaconsfield WA 6162
Sunday 8am-12pm
Heading South, Freo Farmers Market just oozes relaxing Freo vibes with plenty of shopping options and live music.
They showcase local artisans, vintage sellers and community groups with a range of food options, plants and flowers on display. Pack your picnic rug and make the most of their shaded picnic area where you can sit back and enjoy a bite to eat from their many different International cuisines on offer at the stalls.
They’ve also got an animal farm- need I say more?
Mount Claremont Farmers’ Market

They’ve been around for quite some time, so you can be sure Mount Claremont Farmers’ Market knows what they’re doing.
Situated in the leafy suburbs of Mount Claremont they have organic produce, artisan breads, fresh seafood, handmade jewellery and homewares plus handmade, nutritious meals and treats for your pooch.
After you’ve had a look around you can head up to their decked area to dig into some of their Japanese pancakes or bacon and egg wraps.
Stirling Farmers Market
Cedric St, Stirling WA 6021
Sunday 7:30am-11:30am
Stirling Farmers Market only sells products direct from the grower with a number of community stalls that include charities and community groups.
Lady Latte will serve you up some coffee to sip on while you visit boutique bakeries, handmade gourmet pasta, fresh veggies and organic olives. If you’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth then make sure you check out Little Dough Dealers stall full of fresh, plant-based cookies.
Poynter Farmers’ Market
Poynter Primary School, 39 Poynter Dr, Duncraig WA 6023
Saturday 9am-12pm
Poynter Farmers’ Market runs fortnightly at Poynter Primary School with all proceeds going back to the school to provide educational aids for the children.
Their stalls are locally sourced and they have the famous Lawley’s Bakery in their mix if you want to stock up on some sweet treats.
There’s also a sausage sizzle on offer where you can grab a hot dog or order a bacon and egg roll – perfect if you’ve had a few too many on the Friday night.
Kalamunda Farmers Market
Nestobrae La, Kalamunda WA 6076
Sunday 8am-12pm
The Kalamunda Farmers Market is a great place to keep the kids entertained with bouncy castles, face painters and live entertainment every weekend while you make your way through the artisan and gourmet food stalls stocking local produce.
It’s away from all the hustle and bustle and you’ll feel right at home with their strong community spirit.
