There’s nothing better than taking your dog for a nice long run along one of our stunning Perth beaches. But which dog beach should you choose? It’s easy to find your local dog beach and stick to just that one, but we suggest you explore a little further afield to discover some of our favourite dog beaches in Perth.

Whitfords Dog Beach

Just near the Hillarys Boat Harbour, Whitfords Dog Beach is a long, sandy stretch of beach that is extremely popular with dog owners. Most summer mornings you’ll find tons of dogs getting their walk in early before the heat of the day sets in.

Mosman-Leighton Dog Beach

This 2km stretch of soft, white sand is a favourite amongst dog owners in Perth, as well as kite surfers. Your dog will have a field day playing in the high dunes and the crashing waves. It has great views across to the Fremantle port too.

South Beach Fremantle

If you’re looking for a beach without big waves, South Beach in Fremantle is a perfect choice. There is a large grassed park behind the beach too and you can grab brekkie at the dog-friendly Pickled Fig after you’ve tired out your pooch on the beach.

Quinns Rocks

Want a great dog-friendly beach where you and your furry pal can have a swim? Quinns Rocks dog beach often has crystal clear water in summer and with plenty of parking you won’t struggle to find a spot to park.

South City Beach

South City Beach has a 2kdog-friendly section of beach which means doggie heaven for your pup. And with plenty of foodie hotspots in the area you can take your dog to, you can really make a morning of it.

Trigg Dog Beach

One of the less crowded beaches makes this a must visit dog beach in Perth. The water is calm and the beach well protected making this one to add to your list. There are rock formations on the beach and in the water so watch out for these. If you have an adventurous dog that enjoys going out onto the water it’s also a great kayaking spot!

C Y O’Connor Beach

A little south of the centre of Fremantle you’ll find the dog-friendly C Y O’Connor beach. The nearby Garden Island does a great job of sheltering the beach area so you won’t find massive waves here, making it great for dogs that love the beach but are nervous of the water.

Shoalwater Beach

If you’re south of Perth and looking for dog-friendly beaches, Shoalwater dog beach needs to go on your list. It is a smaller stretch of beach but the coastline is gorgeous and well worth a visit. There is plenty of parking available in the large car park near Rockingham Wild Encounters.
