Grand is in the name of this park for a good reason. Conveniently located 45 minutes outside of Esperance, Cape Le Grand National Park is a day-tripper dream with jaw-dropping scenery at almost every twist and turn (and mountain peak!).

Hop to it as this remarkable park is also home to a gimmicky but quintessentially Australian sight – roos’ by the beach. Australia’s whitest beach, Lucky Bay attracts a beach-loving kangaroo colony, thus a perfect photo hop-portunity. Its coastline is beyond idyllic with Twilight Beach and Salmon Beach translucent blue waters and pristine sands the ultimate definition of beach perfection.

Cape Le Grand isn’t just all about beachside living as its also ones to test the joint muscles with an epic grade-5 rocky climb up Frenchman’s Peak for the most priceless panoramic views of the park, coastline and beyond.

Park entrance – $15 per vehicle 

Accommodation

There are two camping spots within the park. Visitors must take note to bring water as there is no drinking water within the park. Barbeque and toilets facilities available.

Le Grand Beach Playground – This spot is suitable for two-wheel-drive vehicles and has 14 sites of various sizes on a first-come, first-serve basis. Prices per night from $15 per adult, $9 per concession cardholder, $3 per child (over 5 and under 16 years)
