Transit Bar – Popup Bar Opening Between Crown Perth and Optus Stadium

Transit Bar – There’s another Perth bar opening this week – this time an outdoor popup venue is opening at Burswood.

The new Transit Bar Perth is located on open grassed areas near the Swan River between the new stadium and Crown, featuring container bars, food trucks and more.

Transit bar was just granted approval by the Town of Victoria Park and will be a must-visit precinct for anyone attending events at the new Perth Stadium, including the massive Ed Sheeran concerts on this weekend.

“Perth’s newest outdoor pop-up bar TRANSIT. Located between Crown and the Stadium featuring container bars, food trucks and more,” Crown Perth, who are helping operate the entertainment zone, said.

“TRANSIT is the perfect place to meet, eat and drink before your Stadium event. For access follow the footpath from Bolton Avenue or Camfield drive.”

The bar is Open Friday 2 March and Saturday 3 March, 3.30pm – 7pm.

Ed Sheeran will perform to over 120,000 people this weekend on Friday and Saturday night, so there will be no shortage of patrons at Transit bar.

The popup venue is partly operated by Crown Perth and will be seen before and after major events as they take place at Optus Stadium, including the NRL event later in March.

If successful, the new Transit Bar zone will likely open for AFL games hosted by West Coast and Fremantle in 2018, including the home game operated by the Gold Coast Suns during the Commonwealth Games.

The entertainment zone will be kid friendly and caters for up to 800 people.

The move comes after the Canfield Perth Pub opened next to the Optus Stadium and Crown Perth opened a new rooftop bar, Hi-Line.

Earlier this week, the Mayor of Victoria Park encouraged stadium patrons to enjoy the surrounding area.

Trevor Vaughan said: “We’ve been working with partners and businesses to consider how they can seize the opportunity where thousands of fans will be travelling to and from the stadium, though the Town on event days.”

The Town has launched a campaign to connect local hospitality venues with Perth stadium visitors, ‘Eat, Ride ‘n’ Enjoy
