Lake Kepwari is set to become the newest water-based tourism hub located 10km South-East of Collie.
If you’re familiar with Collie you know that it is a major hot spot for gorgeous lakes and rivers across the area with the big names like Honeymoon Pool and Black Diamond Lake attracting flocks of people every year, and Lake Kepwari is now set to join this iconic list.
The lake is a former coal mine that has now been filled with water from the Collie River and turned into a recreational fun land with plenty of room for water-based activities, designated picnic areas, a boat ramp and campgrounds.
Lake Kepwari Location
Located approximately 2 and a half hours from Perth. Down Collie-Preston Rd and Mcalinden Rd then following the signage along Neath Rd.
So what can you do at Lake Kepwari?
Boating and Water Skiing
There are a designated boat and water ski area with boat ramp access and a parking space for trailers.
Swimming and Canoeing
The calm lake waters are perfect for a dip, or if you’d prefer to stay a little dryer you can take on some canoe and kayaking activities.
Picnic
A day full of water activities calls for a massive lunchtime feed and you’ll be sorted here with barbecues provided and sheltered areas overlooking the lake.
Fishing
Try your luck at catching some fish on the lake, just make sure you have a license to do so- find out more at The Department of Fisheries.
Camping
With around 40 sites for tents, caravans and campers you can set up camp for a few days to really extend your stay.
Cost: Adults: $11/night, Concession: $7/night, Kids: $3/night.

You can bring your furry friends along but make sure they stay on a leash at all times.
Tank water is available but not treated so bring your own water or make sure you boil it before consuming.
