Lake Leschenaultia
Trail: Lake Leschenaultia / Distance: 3-7km
Pack a picnic and pull out your beach umbrella, because a day at Lake Leschenaultia is just not complete without a dip in the lake itself.
This lake is a former railway dam that is now a recreational lake in the cute town of Chidlow. With a 3 km trail following the shores of the lake, you can enjoy a morning meander, or take your bike and head onto the MTB tracks.
There is also the extra bonus of being able to camp here so you can make a weekend out of your trip.
Trigg Bushland to Mettams Pool
Trail: Trigg Bushland Trail / Distance: 6-8km
Get the best of both worlds from the beautiful natural bushland, to stunning ocean views.
Of course, heading out for a walk along the beach can be done anywhere along the west coast of WA, but combining the Trigg Bushland, with a coastal walk up to Mettams Pool is a perfect pair. Enjoy a dip in the naturally formed lagoon, which is less than 2 metres deep, making it a great sheltered spot for the family to explore.
You are now ready to cool down with the best local swimming holes and hiking trail combos around Perth. Now it’s time to explore.
