Last tickets remain for Taste Great Southern Festival plating up from March 18.

As if having good food and wine wasn’t already on the agenda for a road trip down south, now Taste Great Southern gives you even more reason to indulge.

Taste Great Southern is from a year of hiatus (thanks to ‘rona), and let’s just say it’s back and bigger than ever before. The festival kicks off in Albany on March 18 with over 30+ unique culinary experiences over 11 days showcasing the region’s very best food, wine and all tasty treats in between.

The event will feature WA’s very best local chefs, with celebrity chef Anna Gare and MasterChef favourite Derek Lau bringing extra heat to the festival line up. The festival will also see different events hosted to cater to varying budgets, from toastie battles, high tea to epic five-course degustations. There will also be music playing outdoors with Southern Sets on March 20 and Opera in Katanning on March 27 to add to the sensory overload.

Food will be cooked and wine will be poured across the region with events in Denmark, Katanning, Porongurup, Frankland River, Esperance, Mount Barker, with Albany the central hub.

If you can’t make the distance (and still want to taste the greatness of what’s being served up) head to the Raffles for A Celebration of Great Southern Wine and Cheese on March 21.

With some events already sold out, check out what events are still available to get your fork into at Taste Great Southern and make sure to get some travel inspiration with our latest articles on Australia’s South West.
