#UberEATS Perth is coming – get your favourite restaurant dish delivered to your door

Word on the street – Uber Eats Perth is a comin.

From the people who bought you Uber, comes UberEATS Perth – allowing you to order the best meals from your fav Perth restaurant right to your door.

While you might need to think deeply about your life situation with this service – You may now be able to eat your favourite meal, from your mostest favourite restaurant in town, in the comfort of your own home.

UberEATS Perth comes just a few months after Sydney and Melbourne UberEats launched. The service is marketed as a premium delivery tool, with middle to high-end establishments on board.

Uber drivers will be able to opt into the service to supplement their usual people moving activities.

Drivers will pick up and deliver dishes from partnering Perth restaurants, to homes and offices, of wherever else your creative geographical mind takes you.

We don’t yet know the suburbs covered by the service, but it’s likely to start off with inner-city Perth – perhaps hipster Mt Lawley and Highgate, hotel and office heavy areas like Perth City, Burswood and East Perth – branching out as demand increases.

According to the website, UberEATS promises to deliver “a signature dish from the Instant Delivery menu and you’ll be eating in as little as 10 minutes.”

The service is so far a big hit in other Aussie cities, although it’s hard to believe delivery times would be that short.

In Melbourne, for example, the UberEATS service has lifted the business for some restaurants significantly. One pizza joint reported that 60% of their orders now come thanks to UberEATS.

For the record, there is a service in Perth (a homegrown startup) currently operating in a similar fashion – Eat Now. However, Uber’s marketing power is likely to make this service a popular addition to the Uber brand in Western Australia. Other services, of course, include MenuLog.
