5 days of double demerits kick in from Thursday.

During the Easter holiday period, WA Police will be targeting the following offences and applying Double Demerits:

• Drink or drug driving
• Speeding
• Failing to wear a seat belt and child restraint
• Running a red light
• Illegal use of a mobile phone while driving

The aim of the double demerit initiative is to encourage safe driving on throughout the holiday period.

Double Demerits period in WA will be Thursday 13 April to Monday 17 April 2017 inclusive.
