The Lions and the Falcons are set to battle it out for the Premiership at Domain Stadium on Sunday, bounce down at 2.30pm.

Subi have already secured the minor premiership, finishing four games clear of second on the ladder West Perth at the end of the home and away season.

The way the Lions have performed this season, they will no doubt be heading into this game as firm favourites. Especially considering that the Lions beat the Falcons by 55 points in the second semi final two weeks ago.

However, let’s not underestimate the power of the underdogs! Subiaco went into last years Grand Final as the underdogs against West Coast Eagles aligned club East Perth, and caused a huge upset win, claiming the Premiership by 16 points!

West Perth have been last quarter specialists at home this season, with no exceptions against East Perth last week, the Falcons taking the win by a sweet 29 points.

The Lions will be excited at the prospect of back-to-back Premierships, however the coach Jarrad Schofield isn’t getting ahead of himself, saying that once the boys get out onto the ground it’s a 50/50 chance of beating West Perth.

As we know, anything can happen in finals footy, especially grand finals!

I’m tipping the Subiaco Lions to become back-to-back Premiers and beat West Perth by 19 points.
