A deal reported to be worth $50 million will see Australian cinema chain teaming up with Mark Wahlberg’s Wahlburgers to bring the burger shop to Australia.
Reported earlier today, a deal has been done to bring Mark Wahlberg’s burger chain Wahlburgers to Australia.
A deal which has been three years in the making has been done between United Cinema and Wahlbergs is reported to be worth $50 million. The deal will see 15 restaurants set to open inside or next to United cinemas, including locations such as Warriewood and Narallen in Sydney, Craigieburn in Melbourne, Indoorpilly in Brisbane and Rockingham in Perth.
Mark Wahlberg owns the burger chain with his two brothers, Paul and Donnie, and will unveil the first restaurant in Sydney’s Circular Quay.
“What we are really focusing on now is creating exclusive content just for the customers. So people will see movie trailers early and all that stuff,” he told The Daily Telegraph.
Dates for the Rockingham store are not yet known, though Mark Wahlberg is expected to return for the first Sydney restaurant’s opening in a matter of months.
