Needing to cure that Game of Thrones itch?
Since the end of Game of Thrones, there hasn’t been anything that has been able to fill the void of medieval and monsters in our lives.
The show is based on a series of popular novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, and the Netflix show is said to be a “straight adaptation” of the books according to Entertainment Tonight.
So what is The Witcher?
The Witcher is set in a land called The Continent which was invaded by demons from a parallel dimension that also gave rise to a breed of monster killers called Witchers.
The story follows Witcher Geralt (Henry Cavill – yes Superman), sorceress Yennefer (Sherwood’s Anya Chalotra) and the mysterious young Ciri (newcomer Freya Allan), who come together to form an unlikely family of sorts.

Since the first shots of Cavill on set, The Witcher has been surrounded by hype.
With Netflix continuous ability to hit with their original series – the hype is justified. Let’s just hope GoT fans will finally have a new binge-worthy show to fill the void of their epic adult fantasy fix.
