Western Australia COVID-19 update from the weekend.

For Western Australia, it was a slow COVID-19 weekend which is good news as there were no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 over the weekend and no further recoveries.

This leaves Western Australia with 4 active cases all in hotel quarantine.

COVID-19 Testing

1,018 individuals were swabbed and there have now been 377,668 COVID-19 tests performed in WA.

Anyone in WA will be assessed for a COVID-19 test if they present with ANY of the following:

  • A fever of 37.5°C or above
  • A documented history of a fever in the last few days OR
  • An acute respiratory infection (e.g. shortness of breath, cough, sore throat)- acute loss of taste or smell

If you have these symptoms, please get tested, and help us identify every case of COVID-19 in WA as early as possible.
