On the afternoon of Monday, 26 February 2018, the baton will arrive in Midland where the Mayor will address the crowd from the Town Hall Balcony.  In a nod to the location’s wartime use as a broadcast point, the baton will be accompanied by the sounds of vintage jazz and a town crier.

From there, the baton will travel to Woodbridge Riverside Park where it will get onto a water vessel and be escorted by a flotilla of boats along the Swan River.

The baton will unload at Guildford Grammar School and will be accompanied by various school musicians along its route. Once out of the school grounds, the baton will make its way along Terrace Road to Stirling Square.

The City of Swan is managing all aspects of the Queens Baton Relay for the afternoon of festivities, which will include entertainment, bands, singers, kids activities and food options.

For all up to date information on each of these events, how you can see the baton and be involved on this historical day can be found at www.swan.wa.gov.au.
