Update: Watch the live stream of the Perth Pride Parade
PrideFEST returns to Perth this November, an event by Pride WA and supported by Bankwest, with a program shaped around visibility, resilience, and unity of the LGBTQIA+ community.
This year’s theme — We Are Here — reaches beyond celebration. It reflects the long history of queer activism, the people who pushed for change, and the reality that LGBTQIA+ communities have lived and thrived across Western Australia, even when being seen came with consequences.
It’s a theme rooted in place as much as identity. From the city to the regions, it speaks to those who have felt overlooked, and to the resilience that has carried the community through decades of shifting attitudes. It also asks the broader public for recognition, respect, and support for those whose visibility still requires courage.
As PrideFEST 2025 kicks off this weekend, here are some of the main events that are taking place.
Fairday
Fairday opens PrideFEST 2025 at PrideFEST Gardens (Supreme Court Gardens) on Sunday, with stalls running until 4:00 pm and stage programming beginning at midday. The all-ages event remains one of PrideFEST’s most welcoming entry points, drawing families, friends, and newcomers into the heart of the celebration.
Across the day, visitors can expect community groups, local makers, and LGBTQIA+ stallholders to fill the gardens, creating the familiar sense of ease and connection that has come to define Fairday.
