Launched in 1997, STYLEAID quickly became a fixture on Perth’s social calendar, blending high fashion with a bold fundraising mission. Over two decades, it raised more than $2 million for WAAC, supported critical HIV and LGBTIQA+ health services, and helped launch the careers of some of Western Australia’s most recognisable names in fashion, including Gemma Ward and Emma Booth.
More than a party, STYLEAID was always a platform for public education and community inclusion — a place where the city’s creative community and its advocates came together for a bigger cause.
The rebirth: STYLEAID PHOENIX
On Friday, August 15th, 2025, STYLEAID PHOENIX will reclaim the runway at Crown Ballroom, with a theme that celebrates renewal and resilience. As the phoenix rises, so does STYLEAID, marking a powerful rebirth for both the event and the mission it serves.
This year’s event is designed as a sophisticated, immersive experience. Attendees can expect a professionally choreographed runway, styled by Sarina Menzies, showcasing top WA designers, with models from Vivien’s and Chadwick Models. The night is brought to life by more than one hundred backstage creatives and volunteers, with staging and lighting by Lux Events, and beauty direction by Maurice Meade and MAC Cosmetics.
Supporting WAAC’s mission
STYLEAID’s return isn’t just about glamour. Every ticket directly supports WAAC’s ongoing work, from vital HIV services to LGBTIQA+ youth programs like the Freedom Project. Creative Director Mark Reid says, “STYLEAID has always been about bringing people together to make a difference. We’re thrilled to bring it back in 2025 with a sophisticated, immersive experience that not only celebrates fashion but shines a light on WAAC’s mission to challenge health inequities in our community.”

This year, Claremont Quarter joins as presenting partner, with Senior Marketing Manager Claire Ridley noting, “STYLEAID is a perfect example of how fashion can bring people together for a greater cause.
