2025 has started with a bang with so many events and things to do, we’ve really been spoilt for choice. From Fringe Festival and Perth Festival upping the ante to dining experiences that have shown why Perth is challenging Melbourne for the title of foodie capital of Australia, it’s hard to say there’s nothing to do in Perth.

Perth Festival — Lotterywest Films

Last week, Perth Festival announced the reopening of Lotterwest Films for the remainder of the season, giving you a few more weeks to experience outdoor cinema at UWA Somerville. Several films are showing between now and the end of the month so find a time and enjoy a slightly different date night.

La Spinetta Wine Dinner

If you’ve only just tuned in, we absolutely love just about everything that Cherubino does and their chic city wine bar, Cherubino City Cellar, is definitely one of those things.
This month, they’re hosting an Italian wine dinner, taking those who attend on a journey through the rolling hills of Piedmont and Tuscany with La Spinetta. There will be a four-course menu to match perfectly with each of the wines that will be tasted on the night, bringing you the best flavours from the region.

This is quite possibly Perth’s biggest and best market and it’s on again this March. Held at the University of Western Australia, spanning across Winthrop Hall, Hacket Hall, and the surrounding greens, it brings together a wide variety of local artisans and makes for a great day out.

Cheer on the Perth Wildcats
The Perth Wildcats have made the NBL Playoffs again after a strong end to the season. They’re playing Melbourne United in what will be a strongly contested semi-final series.
