What’s On In Perth This November

Pia’s Place All-Abilities Play Space at Whiteman Park

For families looking for a spring day out that’s fun, inclusive, and easy to enjoy, Whiteman Park’s Pia’s Place is a must-visit this November. As the park’s premier all-abilities play space, Pia’s Place offers a fully fenced area where children of all ages and abilities can explore safely.

The playground sits alongside two large picnic shelters complete with barbecue facilities, making it a favourite for everything from birthday parties to family get-togethers. These are popular, so we recommend booking them in advance here

Whiteman Park itself is open every day of the year from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, with plenty to see and do beyond the playground — from tram rides and walking trails to the nearby attractions in the village precinct.

Winterbottom Stakes Day at the races

Fast horses, fierce fashion, and one of Perth’s biggest days on the racing calendar — the MCA Polytrack Winterbottom Stakes Day.

Whether you’re looking for entertainment on or off the track, Winterbottom Stakes Day is a fun day out.

Off the track, it’s all about fashion with the return of Fashions on the Field — the runway competition where bold looks and impeccable tailoring steal the show. Whether you’re strutting in statement style or simply soaking up the glamour from the sidelines, this is the day to bring your A-game. (Entries are now open for those ready to make their mark.)

From champagne in the Sanctuary and long lunches at Flying Colours or The Terrace, to the electric energy of General Admission, every spot at Ascot promises atmosphere in full stride.

Where: Ascot Racecourse
When: Saturday, November 29

Scarborough Sunset Markets

The Scarborough Sunset Markets are back from Thursday, November 6, running every week through to May 28. This season is all about slowing down and soaking it up. The markets have doubled down on what they do best — local eats, coastal beats, and community spirit.

Expect a delicious wave of fresh foodie options, including the now-famous Angelwood Pies, 72-hour sourdough focaccia from Divoro Focacceria, and Uai Mate, bringing the vibrant spirit of Brazil to the beach with their irresistible street eats.

The Scarborough Amphitheatre will transform into the Chill Out Lounge — a laid-back space to sink into a beach chair, sip something cold, and let the evening drift by. Gone are the DJs this year; in their place, acoustic sessions and live performances set the mood while the sun sets in the background.

Where: The Esplanade, Scarborough
When: Every Thursday Night from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Pride Parade

Get ready to march, dance, and celebrate at the Pridefest Parade!

The PrideFEST Parade steps off on Saturday, November 29, carrying thousands through the streets of Northbridge for one of Perth’s most recognisable annual events. The parade remains open to all ages, inviting families, community groups and organisations to march together in solidarity and celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community.

More information on the parade, including route and road closures, can be found here.

When: Saturday, November 29, from 6:00 pm

The Pride Parade will also be live-streamed on So Perth — more information available soon.
