Perth Upmarket is Perth’s original and biggest design market, bringing together more than 200 talented artists, designers, craftsmen, and gourmets. The best part is that it’s free and all under the one roof at the University of Western Australia’s Winthrop Hall.

Fiesta con Papá at Indigo Oscar

Think live entertainment, sensory play, art and craft activities, photography workshops, eco education, and so much more. Children between five and 12 will also receive an exclusive Rottnest Island Nature Play book on arrival when they present their event ticket.

COPIA CBD Pizza Club

COPIA has launched the CBD Pizza Club, which will see the café and wine bar serve up delicious woodfired pizzas in its city courtyard. Rotating gourmet pizzas will be coming in hot from 4:00 pm every Thursday and Friday, setting the scene for a perfect evening. 

Paired with a glass of wine — or two — from COPIA’s extensive wine list, pizzas will start at $10.00 and will be available until sold out. Check their Instagram for what’s coming up on the menu each week.

Australia’s largest open studios event is returning this September featuring more than 140 incredible artists — from painters to potters and printmakers, milliners to mosaicists, timber craftspeople to textile creators and illustrators to installation artists.

Spanning from Busselton to Augusta, artists will throw open their studio doors for 16 days, welcoming art appreciators from far and wide to sneak a peek into their usually private creative spaces.

Hairspray The Broadway Musical

Welcome to the 60s! For the first time in Perth, Hairspray The Musical is playing at Crown Theatre this September. Based on the multi-award winning Broadway production, the romantic comedy musical centres around a dance-loving teenager, Tracy Turnblad, who has one dream — to dance on The Corny Collins Show. When her dream becomes reality, Tracy falls in love and finds friends in unexpected ways.

TIME • BAR at the TIME • RONE exhibition

After opening at AGWA in June 2024, the awe-inspiring TIME • RONE installation has already achieved record visitation. Now, for the first time, visitors can immerse themselves in RONE’s art while enjoying exquisite fine dining experiences within the installation itself.

Inspired by the prohibition era and offering a luxurious escape from the city’s hustle and bustle, TIME • BAR will open its doors on Thursday, August 29th. Located deep within the Centenary Galleries, this hidden den invites art enthusiasts and food lovers alike to unwind with signature snacks created by award-winning chef Guy Grossi. Considered a powerhouse in the food scene, Grossi is known for Garum — his acclaimed Italian restaurant in Perth — and his empire of Victorian eateries including the iconic Grossi Florentino. The drinks — including a distinctive mid-century martini — will be crafted for the venue by renowned Perth bartender, Andy McIntyre.

Spring into Armadale

Perth International Football Cup

Football mania is set to take over at the inaugural Perth International Football Cup as Australia’s favourite Matildas players descend onto the field. Australian star players Mary Fowler, Alanna Kennedy, Katrina Gorry, and Courtney Nevin are among the current players set to head to Perth as part of the teams, ready to play in their preseason club colours. The event will see four elite women’s football teams — Manchester City, West Ham, Paris Saint-Germain, and Leicester City — come together for four matches at HBF Park.

HoopsFest

Australia’s largest basketball festival, HoopsFest, is hitting Perth shores from Thursday, September 19th to Sunday, 22nd. The four-day event will take place across RAC Arena, HBF Stadium, Bendat Basketball Centre, and HBF Arena, with Perth to also exclusively host all ten Australian National Basketball League teams, the entire Women’s NBL, and the Under 18s Club Championships, involving the 48 best teams from around Australia, representing their respective states.

Basketball fans can also look forward to supporting events such as Sneakerland — Australia’s largest sneaker culture festival, plus the official HoopsFest Fan Festival at Forrest Place featuring music, entertainment, and street basketball.
