Perth Winter Wonderland coming to Yagan Square.
A Perth Winter Village, a Winter Wonderland style festival space, is on the way for our city after preliminary backing was given by the City of Perth.
The Perth Winter Village is likely to be similar to events held in other Australian cities.
The event would be held at Yagan Square, the new public space connecting Perth CBD and Northbridge.
The application, by hospitality group Australian Venue Co., was submitted recently to the Department of Local Government.
According to 7West Media, the Perth Winter Village application would create “the ultimate winter event accessible to groups of all sizes and a range of activities to suit families, tourist and locals.”
The event is slated to run from June 6 to September 29th.
The Perth Winter Village would include an ice rink, bars and Popup food venues, as well as igloos for hire, fake snow and evening DJs.
The event is similar to a Winter Village currently underway in Melbourne.
The Winter Village there is complete with a Sip bar and Feast menu with a mega igloo dining and drinking hall, an ice skating rink, an Igloo Village of 21 cosy igloos which come with decadent food & beverage packages, plus pop-up hot chocolate & dessert stations!
