Popup waterpark Perth is coming – world’s tallest waterslide for Belmont
Get ready Perth – Australia’s first ever pop-up waterpark will be open this Summer just 4km from the city in the Town of Victoria Park at Belmont Park Racecourse.
Called ‘Xscape at the City’ the popup waterpark is likely to become a major attraction for Perth’s people and tourist, “introducing a whole new level of fun for Perth,” the organisers said in the release today.
Featuring a thrilling combination of slides, rides, and activities, the main attraction will be the tallest water slide of its kind in the WORLD – a twin lane 23 meter high slide that’s 110 meters in length and almost 13 stories tall!
There’ll be rides and activities for kids of all ages and all level of thrills.
This unique pop-up fun park concept has been designed and commissioned by Western Australia’s Amusement Leisure Consultants.
Directors Douglas Campbell and Nasir David have been designing, procuring, constructing and operating successful leisure parks in Western Australia for the past 30 years and currently operate Xscape at the Cape in Dunsborough, WA.
The Town of Victoria Park has now granted approval for Xscape at the City to operate at Belmont Park, the next step is WA Planning Commission approval, and then the Park will be ready to pop-up in November 2015 and operate until April 2016.
Town of Victoria Park CEO Anthony Vuleta said his team was excited about Xscape at the City being in the Town of Victoria Park
“I think it will fit in well with our vibrancy,” he said.
“After enjoying the pop-up water park I invite visitors to spend some time in the Town discovering our wonderful parks, foreshore, places to eat and great shopping options.”
