An insane virtual reality gaming experience like you’ve never seen before has arrived at Zero Latency VR.

The internationally acclaimed PC and console game Far Cry is now available for players to experience in virtual reality, and we can confirm after giving it a go ourselves it lives up to all expectations.

Fans of the game and new players alike will be totally blown away by insanely good graphics and an authentic, action-packed world that captures you from the moment you step in.

Check out footage from our game below:

The Game

You and your teammates are the heroes in this Far Cry VR experience.

Picture this: you arrive on a tropical island for the holiday of a lifetime with your friends. Crystal clear water surrounds you as you walk through the soft sandy beaches and soak in the summer sun- that is until you are captured by the iconic villain Vaas and his army of henchmen and your dream holiday turns more into a nightmare.

After being imprisoned, Vaas and his band of misfits grow hungry for a bit of entertainment. You are released to escape in a twisted game concocted by the pirates to hunt you down for sport.

Your mission is to find your way through the deranged warlord’s jungle gauntlet by working together to escape the island and your captors safely. But, be warned- there are a few unexpected twists and turns that will make you question everything as you come face to face with the definition of insanity. Remember: collaboration is the key to your success.

Up to eight players can participate in the game, and Zero Latency gears you up with props, packs, goggles, and headsets so you can fully immerse yourself in the jungle environment and communicate with your teammates throughout.

The arena has plenty of space to move around and you’ll completely forget where you are once you enter.

Our Review

Two of us went into the game without having ever played Far Cry before or even having a Virtual Reality experience, and safe to say we were nothing but impressed.

The graphics and surrounding sounds made you feel as though you had truly stepped into the world of Rook Island and as someone who had never tried VR until now I couldn’t believe how real it felt.

The storyline for the game was full of action and surprises from start to finish, and without giving away any spoilers the final scenes were mind-blowingly epic and had me tense to the very end. Surprisingly, it’s a bit of a workout, and you’ll definitely come out hot and sweaty at the end.

All we can say is if you’re thinking about giving this a go, it is worth every bit of hype and an experience you definitely shouldn’t pass up.
