That’s right, Perth, it’s that time of the year again — when we have a chance to win a dream home while helping those living with neurological conditions in WA. It’s the MSWA Mega Home Lottery — with three absolutely stunning life-changing homes as part of the overall prize pool, which sits at over $8M in prizes.

Every time you buy a ticket to the draw, you’re guaranteed to change someone’s life for the better as you’ll be supporting the work that MSWA do — from their research into neurological conditions to the direct support they provide to people living with neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease, and many more.

To be in the draw to win all three homes, you’ll need to get in quick and purchase a ticket before September 28th. Tickets are only $100.00 which is a small price to pay to change someone’s life and potentially change yours.

The Grand Prize Package

One of the most sought-after coastal suburbs — City Beach — is the location of this year’s MSWA Mega Home Lottery Grand Prize. This $3.76M two-storey home, designed by Webb & Brown-Neaves, is a stone’s throw from what is arguably Perth’s best beach, and will certainly make you the envy of all of your friends. Weekend barbeques and get-togethers for the foreseeable future will be hosted by you should you win this dream home.

Let’s first imagine the lifestyle that a home in this location offers. A short walk or a five-minute drive will have you enjoying mornings sitting on City Beach, reading a book as the relaxing waves crash on the shore. Not a beach lover? Hamptons City Beach will be your new favourite spot, sitting on the bistro’s balcony sipping on a glass of wine while admiring the sun setting over the water.

Looking at this fabulous home, it really needs to be seen to appreciate just how nice it is. You can book a viewing here to see it first-hand. We took a walkthrough of the home and here’s what we loved the most.

As you walk through the front door, you’re immediately greeted by the wall-to-ceiling glass windows which give you a view over the infinity pool and entertaining area and you say to yourself, “okay, wow.” Looking beyond the pool, you can start to see the ocean, appreciating just how close you are to the coast.

Once you’ve finished admiring that grand entrance (which takes a few minutes), you decide to head up the feature timber stairs, expecting to find the bedrooms, but stumbling upon a huge kitchen and living area with the million-dollar views you’d expect from a home this close to the coast. Looking to your left, you realise there’s a door to a room or cupboard that just doesn’t look like the rest of the doors in the house. Curiosity gets the better of you and you open the door, only now realising it isn’t a door to a room at all; rather it’s the door to your lift and seconds later, you find yourself back on the ground floor, then back up and down several times, before deciding to look through the rest of the house. But yes, this house has its own lift — which will certainly come in handy when entertaining outside by the pool every summer.

As you walk through the rest of the house, you realise that Webb & Brown-Neaves have pulled out all the stops when designing it, living up to their reputation as one of the most prestigious home builders in WA.

With this home, when you’re not upstairs in the main living area, you’re most likely going to be in the outdoor entertainment area chilling with friends, relaxing in the pool, or just laying back on the sun lounges enjoying a lazy Sunday afternoon without a care in the world. Let your imagination run wild.

To top it off, the Grand Prize also comes with $250,000 in cash. You won’t need to worry about furnishing your new house as it comes fully furnished; so, what will you spend that cash on?

Maybe it’s a two-month holiday through Europe culminating with a white Christmas in Switzerland, or possibly it’s time to buy that dream car you’ve always wanted. Maybe both.  Whatever your dream, this is going to go a long way towards making it a reality.

Make sure you get your tickets by November 9th 2023 for your chance to win.

Super Early Bird Prize

The first prize that will be drawn is the Super Early Bird Prize — a $1.35M Margaret River holiday home. To be in the running, make sure to purchase tickets before midnight September 28th.

You may have heard of Margaret River before, it’s probably the most popular holiday destination for us Perthies and home to some of the best wineries and beaches in the world. Win this prize and you’ll never have to worry about where you’re going to stay on your next down south trip ever again.

Located minutes from the Margaret River township, this five-bedroom, two-bathroom, fully-furnished home is large enough to take your friends and family with you without running out of room. It’ll certainly change the way you spend Christmas this year.

Last but by no means least is the third of the homes on offer, a $1.38M fully-furnished apartment in Mount Lawley.

This one has lifestyle written all over it. This two-storey apartment is situated directly above a yoga studio and one of Perth’s most talked about wine bars, Bar Vino. If you win this apartment, you’ll be walking distance from the heart of Perth’s entertainment scene with an endless number of restaurants, bars, and cafes right on your doorstep.

The apartment itself is massive and beautifully designed — architectural style combines with a spacious elegance that makes this a home that is just easy and perfect to live in. It features high ceilings created by an upstairs void area which helps to create openness and light, views that will make evenings on the balcony a dream, and a huge living area where you can sit back and relax after a long day.

Tickets for the Early Bird Prize close on October 19th 2023 and can be purchased here.

How Your Ticket Helps Someone In Need

It’s all well and good to buy tickets in the hopes of winning your dream home, but how much do you actually know about the work that MSWA do and where the money from ticket sales goes?

MSWA provides vital support and services for people living with neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, motor neuron disease, and acquired brain injury.

Funds raised from the tickets sold go directly towards providing vital support and funding for the research needed to continue finding the causes of these debilitating conditions, providing better treatments, and, hopefully, one day finding a cure.

Listening to stories from people whose lives have been positively affected by the work that MSWA does really puts everything into perspective and shows the importance of initiatives such as the MSWA Mega Home Lottery. People like Hayley (pictured below) began experiencing MS symptoms at just 16 years of age. 20 doctors and 10 years on, she was diagnosed with MS, allowing her to begin the journey of caring for her physical and mental wellbeing, supported along the way by MSWA.

Hayley MSWA

“MSWA has been there for me since the beginning — I couldn’t have done it without them. It’s really important to remember you aren’t MS. MS is part of your life, but it isn’t your life.”

You’ll rest easy, knowing every ticket you buy makes a difference to every Western Australian living with a neurological condition.
