Once you’ve finished admiring that grand entrance (which takes a few minutes), you decide to head up the feature timber stairs, expecting to find the bedrooms, but stumbling upon a huge kitchen and living area with the million-dollar views you’d expect from a home this close to the coast. Looking to your left, you realise there’s a door to a room or cupboard that just doesn’t look like the rest of the doors in the house. Curiosity gets the better of you and you open the door, only now realising it isn’t a door to a room at all; rather it’s the door to your lift and seconds later, you find yourself back on the ground floor, then back up and down several times, before deciding to look through the rest of the house. It’s all well and good to buy tickets in the hopes of winning your dream home, but how much do you actually know about the work that MSWA do and where the money from ticket sales goes?

MSWA provides vital support and services for people living with neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, motor neuron disease, and acquired brain injury. 

Funds raised from the tickets sold go directly towards providing vital support and funding for the research needed to continue finding the causes of these debilitating conditions, providing better treatments, and, hopefully, one day finding a cure.

Listening to stories from people whose lives have been positively affected by the work that MSWA does really puts everything into perspective and shows the importance of initiatives such as the MSWA Mega Home Lottery. People like Hayley (pictured below) began experiencing MS symptoms at just 16 years of age. 20 doctors and 10 years on, she was diagnosed with MS, allowing her to begin the journey of caring for her physical and mental wellbeing, supported along the way by MSWA.
