Attention all tradies – a new video competition has been launched to showcase the benefits of a career in the construction and building industry

Tradies Shorts is an initiative of the Construction Training Fund whose charter is to encourage more skilled people into the Western Australian trades workforce.

Tradies Shorts Competition

The competition invites tradesmen and apprentices to make short simple clips on their mobile phones which highlight different aspects of being a tradie.

Clips uploaded to the Tradies Shorts website will be judged and the four winners will receive Coles/Myer vouchers.

“Tradies are great at making things and right now, we want them to turn their talents to making a short video about what they think is the best part of the job. They can show us the skills they’ve learnt, tell us about how varied their week is, even showcase the great boss they’ve got”, said Eamon Moore, Construction Training Fund Marketing Director.

“There are so many positive aspects of working in the industry and we want people in it to share their experience. We’re not expecting to discover the next Peter Jackson, we just want entrants give it a go for fun”, said Mr Moore.
