New Star Wars Trailer

Star Wars nerds, get excited. An epic trailer has dropped moments ago for Star Wars – Rogue One which just wrapped filming in London and on locations around the world.

The preview aired during Olympics coverage on US TV network NBC.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in which a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story arrives in theaters December 16, 2016.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and written by Chris Weitz. The movie is the first stand-alone Star Wars Anthology film, and the ninth theatrical feature film in the series.

Alexandre Desplat composes the music, the first Star Wars without the great John Williams. Set in the Star Wars universe shortly before the events of A New Hope, the story follows Rebel spies on a mission to steal the plans for the Galactic Empire’s new weapon, the Death Star.
