Perth Wildcats will take on the Sydney Kings in an empty RAC Arena.

Game 2 of the NBL Finals will not be played in front of fans as the league take precaution due to the Coronavirus.

In a statement released by the league, it won’t just be game 2 in Perth at RAC Arena that will be closed to fans.

“After consultation with local, state and federal authorities as well as our clubs, we have made a decision that the remainder of the Hungry Jack’s NBL Grand Final Series presented by MG between the Sydney Kings and Perth Wildcats will be closed to the general public.

In a statement released by the Perth Wildcats, they are extremely disappointed for fans, but respect the NBL’s decision.

“Our fans have helped us get to this stage of the season. It’s a terrible shame that, in our biggest game of the year, they can’t be there to support us,” said Perth Wildcats CEO Troy Georgiu.

“However, the health and safety of our members, fans and the wider West Australian community, as well as our players, coaches and staff, will always be our priority.

Perth currently leads the series 1-0. The schedule for the remainder of the best of five game series is as follows:

Game two – Friday March 13, 6.30pm AWST
Game three – Sunday March 15, 2pm AWDT
Game four – (if required) – Friday March 20, 6.30pm AWDT
Game five – (if required) – Sunday March 22, 2pm AWDT

The Perth Wildcats encourage its fans to watch the game live on SBS Viceland or ESPN, and show support through social media.

Tip-off will remain at 6.30pm.
