Latest Perth COVID-19 update from the weekend with no new cases recorded.

No doubt everyone around Perth woke up on Sunday morning with an extra spring in their step with masks no longer mandatory as transitional lockdown restrictions were lifted at 12:01am on Sunday.

By comparison, Melbourne re-entered a 5-day lockdown on Saturday and Auckland has entered a 3-day lockdown after unexplained coronavirus cases were found in the community.

To further the good news from the weekend the Department of Health has reported that there has been no new cases of COVID-19 recorded over the weekend with both 0 new local and international travel cases.

These weekend results mean WA has now reached 14 days without a local case of COVID-19 from over 102,000 tests performed.

WA Health are also only monitoring 5 active cases of COVID-19 in WA with a reported 895 people having recovered from the virus in WA.

A total of 822,974 tests have been processed throughout the State. Of those, 123,023 were from regional WA.

The state’s total number of confirmed cases remain at 910.
