Equal largest Powerball jackpot for the year on offer tomorrow!

Imagine winning $50 million… or even a slice of $50 million!

The excitement which surrounded the nation this week with the Melbourne Cup hasn’t stopped…its set to continue as we count down to tomorrow night’s $50 million Powerball jackpot.

The $50 million prize is the equal largest jackpot to be offered in Powerball this year and is a result of no one across Australia being able to match the game’s six winning numbers plus the Powerball for the last five weeks.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said while no player had yet managed to take home the Division 1 prize pool, almost 200,000 prizes in WA had already been won over the last five weeks of Powerball jackpotting.

WA has also been no stranger to Powerball luck this year with four Division 1 Powerball prizes already won in the west. The largest of these wins was in July, when newsXpress Armadale Central, sold a Powerball ticket worth an incredible $50 million. It re-wrote WA’s Lotto history books as the largest ever Lotto prize won in the State.

Owner of the Armadale store Phillip Lu said while you couldn’t predict when luck would strike again, he hoped his store could repeat history.

“The big win is still the talk of the town! It feels so great to have changed the lives of one of my customers. As I like to say, it’s blessed to receive but divine to give,” Mr Lu said.

WA players will have until 6pm tomorrow to purchase a ticket in the Powerball draw in-store from Lotterywest retailers, through Play Online at www.lotterywest.wa.gov.au/play-online or through the Lotterywest App.

It’s not just thousands of winners that are set to benefit following tomorrow night’s jackpot, support for the game has also helped Lotterywest to raise over $8 million for the WA community over the last five week jackpot roll.

Still searching for WA’s million dollar Superdraw winners

Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from two WA winners who each took home a $1 million Division 1 prize in the weekend’s $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw.

The winning tickets were sold at Melville Newspower in Bicton and Myaree Newsextra Newsagency.

A third Division 1 Lotto ticket worth $570,620 sold from Armadale Newsagency in a Saturday Lotto draw on 17 October is also still unclaimed.

So far this year, 88 Division 1 Lotto winners have shared in almost $205 million worth of prize money.
