After an eight-year hiatus, award-winning American comedian, screenwriter, actor, and producer Dave Chappelle is returning to Perth with his brand new stand-up comedy show

Chappelle is recognised as one of the greatest comedians of all time, having won the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2019. He has received 36 nominations for his work and won five Emmy Awards and the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album from 2018 to 2020.

In 2003, Chappelle debuted his own weekly sketch comedy show, titled Chappelle’s Show, which parodied aspects of American culture, including racial stereotypes, pop culture, and politics.

Chappelle made his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live in November 2016 and received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. Later in the month, Netflix announced they would release three new stand-up comedy specials in 2017. As of October 2021, six Netflix specials have been released.

Chappelle’s documentary, titled ‘Dave Chappelle: Live in Real Life’, was shown in 10 arenas across the United States and Canada. It is yet to be released to the general public.
