Catch local legends Eskimo Joe for free at South Perth Sounds.

South Perth Sounds is back for another year, but this year is a little more special with Australian rock icons Eskimo Joe performing live on the South Perth Foreshore in February.

South Perth Sounds is the City’s free annual community concert at Sir James Mitchell Park, part of the City’s Arts, Events and Culture calendar.

The family-friendly event is a cultural experience for the whole community with free entertainment for all ages, including the Spare Parts Puppet Theatre performing the Australian premiere of The Last Numbat, created specifically for the City.

There will also be a free games and activities area, puppet making workshops and a range of gourmet food trucks.

City of South Perth Mayor Greg Milner said South Perth Sounds is a great opportunity for the local community to come together on our beautiful foreshore.

“I encourage everyone to come on down, bring a picnic and enjoy some amazing home grown talent,” Mayor Milner said.

The concert is wheelchair accessible, with free ACROD parking available on Sir James Mitchell Park (opposite Forrest Street).  Auslan interpreters will also be on stage throughout the event.

General event parking will be available on Sir James Mitchell Park (via Coode St) for a gold coin donation.  Parking restrictions will apply in the City of South Perth, so please ensure you read the signs carefully.

Eskimo Joe will also be supported by a local band.
