One of Perth’s favourite bar and kitchen’s The Standard gets into the Fringe World spirit with Filipino themed pop-up Manila Nights at Old Shanghai’s front space on James Street.

What’s on the menu at Manila Nights
The Standard’s head chef, Rod Panganiban, has been integral to Manila Nights’ menu, sharing his expertise on Filipino cuisine.
Manila Nights will serve tasty snacks perfect for quick innercity pick-me-ups.
Slide in and grab a Crispy Cup (chicken skin, salt & vinegar chicharron and cracking), or a Chopped Lechón (pork belly) loaded golden mantou buns.
There’ll also be mains to eat while seated like, Lechón – Liempo (pork belly), and Grilled Squid with ink back jasmine rice.
Top all the Filipino fun off with a Filipino dessert – Fried banana with coconut caramel, and Bibingka (rice cake).

Situated right between Fringe Central and The Pleasure Gardens, Manila Nights is great for a quick bite before or after a Fringe show, or a casual meal out with friends.
