No sales pitches, no PowerPoint presentations, just honest answers to your burning marketing questions.

You normally have to wait til the end of a marketing seminar or workshop to ask your burning marketing questions and Perth marketing specialists Clayton Smith from Smith Social and Carma Levene from Carma The Social Chameleon wanted to flip that script.

“We spoke to people who’d attended marketing events and all they wanted was the answer to a couple of fairly straightforward questions – but they didn’t get the opportunity to ask them” Clayton said.

So a marketing event that’s all Q&A was born, and they named that baby Grill The Marketer.

The Marketer is a collab between two Perth marketing specialists who decided their marketing bants might be of interest to others, so a website and a podcast were launched to bring the wider marketing conversation to an Australian (and predominantly Perth) focus.

You need to know at least a little bit about marketing to run a business in 2019.

Consumers are savvier than ever before and to reach them (and their wallets) you have to craft the right messages and make sure they’re seen by the right people, at the right time.

There’s so much advice out there – because marketing is something everyone has an opinion on, but asking randoms in Facebook business groups or taking advice from your cousin’s mate isn’t necessarily a good idea.

So where do you go for awesome advice? Where marketers are confident in their skills and experience they’ll go off-script (something marketers don’t like to do) trash their glossy PowerPoint presso and tell it to you straight?

We had a great crew the first time and had an awesome time answering questions about everything from property development, podcasts and promoting pools. Grill The Marketer II – Grill Harder is going to be bigger and better!

What to expect at Grill The Marketer II

This second Grill The Marketer event is being held this month (Oct 28th) at 399 Bar in Northbridge and will be MCd by media badass Melissa Bowen from MeBo Media. The Marketer has also been thrilled to invite Founder of So Media Group and So Perth, Adam Barrell to be our very special guest.
