This day celebrates Australian independent breweries, from the nimble to the mighty – you’re invited to raise a glass at 2pm!
An army of IBA-member breweries and venues have rallied together to spread the cheer and let beer lovers revel in the community behind independent beer.
Here’s how you can get involved in Perth and in our beautiful south-west:
Dutch Brewing Co, Victoria Park (From 12pm)
Independent West Australian breweries Gage Roads, Cheeky Monkey, Otherside and Nowhereman Brewing Co are getting together at Dutch Trading Co for a big cheers at 2pm (AWST) on Saturday. There will be limited release beers on tap from 12pm and a brewer’s shout at 2pm:
- Gage Roads limited release VHA (Very Hoppy Ale)
- Cheeky Monkey limited release Double IPA
- Otherside Brewing Co. new core release Indie XPA
- Nowhereman Brewing core range Rhapsody XPA
The Standard, Northbridge (12pm – 2pm)
Nowhereman Brewing Co is taking over the taps at The Standard on Saturday from 12-2pm. They will be shouting everyone their first beer and unveiling a brand new look for their three-year-round beers – Leederville Lager, Crate Digger Pale Ale and Rhapsody XPA.
Eagle Bay Brewing Co, Dunsborough (11am – 5pm)
Eagle Bay Brewing Co will be launching their summer beer early to celebrate Indie Beer Day – India Pale Lager – in bottle and on tap available only at Eagle Bay Brewing Co.
Rocky Ridge Brewing Co & Darleen’s, Busselton (From 2pm)
Darleen’s is the home of stupidly good beer in Busselton. Rocky Ridge Brewing Co will celebrating at Darleen’s with a brewer’s shout at 2pm. They’ll be banding together for a mighty big cheers at 2pm.
