Prepare to be enchanted as the global phenomenon Lightscape makes its Perth debut tomorrow, transforming Kings Park into a mesmerising winter wonderland of lights.

The 1.8-kilometre interactive trail features more than 430,000 lights, illuminated tree canopies, larger-than-life flowers, and a magical glowing tunnel. Visitors can also enjoy art installations that shine a light on the importance of conservation and culture.

Lightscape has captivated millions in cities around the world, including Melbourne and Sydney. The Perth event is a collaboration between the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority, Sony, and the City of Perth.

“We are thrilled to bring Lightscape to Perth,” said John Lane, CEO of the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority. “This is a truly magical experience that will delight visitors of all ages.”

Lightscape will be open from 5:45 pm to 10:00 pm, Wednesday to Sunday, from June 16 to July 30. Tickets are available online via Ticketek.

Art Installations Highlight Conservation and Culture

In addition to the global favourites, Kings Park has collaborated with First Nations artists to create stunning art pieces seen nowhere else in the world. These installations highlight the importance of conservation and culture, and pay tribute to the traditional custodians of the land.

One of the most striking installations is a giant tree made entirely of recycled materials. The tree is a symbol of the importance of sustainability — it’s a reminder that we all have a role to play in protecting the environment.

Another installation features a series of large-scale portraits of Aboriginal people. The portraits are a celebration of Aboriginal culture, and are a reminder of the rich history of this land.

Lightscape is a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of Kings Park in a whole new way. The event is a must-see for locals and visitors alike.
